OUR FACILITIES

Built and Opened in 2018, the Minnesota Wrestling facility is a state-of-the-art training space designed to create a world-class training space for both University of Minnesota student-athletes and Gopher Wrestling Club senior-level athletes. The 9,300 gym space was completely renovated to include 7,500 square feet of mat space, easily-accessible strength and conditioning space, overhead office and meeting space for the coaching staff, and mat-side bleacher seating and mezzanine space for spectators to observe Gopher practices.

The Minnesota Wrestling facility includes six wrestling mats, including four-competition size Resilite mats to offer plenty of space for our athletes to train. Just steps off the mats are a 1,100 square foot cardio room as well as a full-sized weight room designed to the specific needs of University of Minnesota student-athletes. The walls of the facility showcase artwork recognizing the lasting legacy of Minnesota Wrestling, as well as 24 national championship plaques for the Gopher wrestlers who have reached the pinnacle of collegiate wrestling.

Overlooking the practice room is office and meeting room space for our coaching staff to work efficiently to best serve our athletes. A lounge area with four flat-screen TVs allow for a social space for Minnesota Wrestling guests, with full floor-to-ceiling windows allow for guests to watch our Gopher athletes train.

Take a virtual tour of our facility with the photo gallery and video and take a look at how much Minnesota Wrestling and Gopher Wrestling Club has to offer.
