We are excited to announce that our 2nd ANNUAL GWC BLAST & CAST (or SWING) will be on September 27-28, 2024.  Last year’s inaugural event was a huge success! Genuinely, 100% of our proceeds goes to the Gopher Wrestling Club to support our athletes as they follow their quest to make the USA World/Olympic Team.  Along this journey, we want to provide our athletes with every resource possible.  

 

This year’s BLAST & CAST (or SWING) will again take place in beautiful Northern Minnesota.  We will meet on September 27, between 10:00AM - 12:00PM at the Muskie Lodge, 5135 Whistle Road, Isle, MN.  We will lodge here for the next two evenings.  

 

Friday afternoon, you have the opportunity to either golf at IZATYS GOLF RESORT, or go on a guided fishing trip on Lake Mille Lacs.  In the registration form, indicate your excursion choice.  After the Friday afternoon activities we will meet back at the Muskie Lodge for dinner, drinks, and great conversation.

 

Saturday morning presents some options: to rise for an early morning workout with the coaches or just enjoy a good cup of coffee and the Minnesota morning sun. Shortly after, we will have breakfast provided at the lodge as we prepare for the European Shoot!  We will leave the Muskie Lodge between 10:00-10:30AM and head to HUNTS POINT GUN CLUB.  Once we arrive, the Gun Club owners John & Theresa Barr, will go over the rules, policies, and procedures for the European Shoot!

 

After the shoot, you will have the option to return to the Muskie Lodge for a relaxed evening with the coaches, athletes, and staff or start your journey home.

 

Come out and enjoy the great outdoors of Northern Minnesota and all that it has to offer!
